Waka Hourua

Awesome day of learning on board the Waka Hourua. Our hub has been split into 5 groups who are all spending about an hour and a half learning about the Waka Hourua. The plan is to learn safety and basic sailing vocab first before ultimately heading out to sea. An awesome environment for learning that connects to our inquiry of 'Early Settlers' and many other opportunities that arise. Highlight for me was the teamwork and leadership displayed.

  1. Hi I'm Bindi from Kaitaia Intermediate.I loved this post because it has a lot of information and some pictures witch wanted me to have a go on Waka Hourua. You brought me back to the time I went on a boat on a harbour and we went diving for kina and some people were scared because they thought that there would be sharks. To improve, you could leave a historical question and leave your readers wanting to know more about what you have done.
